    Frequently Asked Questions

Am I Eligible and How Do I Enroll?

Most Medicaid enrollees have a transportation benefit as a part of their overall medical insurance plan.

To confirm your eligibility and enroll in the transportation program, contact Medical Answering Services at (844) 666-6270.

How Do I Schedule a Trip?

You can set up non-emergency Medical Transportation two ways:

    1. Call the MAS Contact Center: (844) 666-6270
    2. Create an account on MAS' website and arrange the trip online.

You will need the following information to create an account:
      • First Name | Last Name
      • Email Address
      • Cell Phone
      • Medicaid Client Identification Number (CIN) or Medicaid Number
      • Last 4 of Social Security Number
      • Birth Date
How Long in Advance Do I Need to Book My Trip?
Enrollees should contact MAS at least 72 hours in advance of needing transportation. This ensures that proper transportation can be secured. For physician office sick visits and trips to Urgent Care, transportation can be arranged within a lesser timeframe.
What Modes of Transportation Are Used?

Trips are arranged at the most medically appropriate, cost-effect level of service.

These include public transit, taxi/livery, ambulette, ambulance (ALS/BLS), and personal vehicle mileage reimbursement.

Members generally travel using the same mode they use for daily living.

More information is available from the MAS website.
